GREENE BROS. LEAF TOBACCO HOUSE
Greene Bros. Leaf Tobacco House was originally constructed for the purpose of storing and distributing tobacco. The four and one half story commercial vernacular styled warehouse is now operating as a high tech office space. Foremost Media, a website development and search marketing company, moved 25 employees into the revitalized space. A $3.5 million renovation to create the new office space included using $1.4 million in state and federal historic preservation tax credits and $425,000 in assistance from the city. Foremost Media anticipates creating 20 new jobs in the next two years. The project was envisioned and completed by Janesville attorney Mark Robinson.
