Register to Tour Hillside

Join a special behind-the-scenes tour of the Hillside building and grounds at Taliesin!

A revolutionary design of Frank Lloyd Wright in 1902, Hillside was built on three levels to follow the natural slope of the hill as a boarding school for his two aunts, Jane and Ellen Lloyd Jones.

In the 1930s, it was expanded for the newly formed Taliesin Fellowship, a community that provided architectural training in a “learn by doing” approach. Hillside houses a theatre and a 5,000-square-foot drafting studio. This tour will provide a general overview of the building and its construction, then an exclusive look at the restoration work occurring in the Hillside Theatre.
